Major Attractions During Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Poon Hill view point:

Poon Hill is one of the most visited and popular viewpoints in Nepal. At an altitude of 3210 meters from sea level, it possesses breathtaking views of Ghorepani Village, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mardi Himal, and various other mountains. Poon Hill is a short hike from Pokhara and is preferred for sunrise views by the family and friends group.

Ghorepani Village:

Ghorepani is a village inside the Annapurna Conservation Area that requires a permit. Ghorepani Poon hill is also famous for side trips apart from Annapurna Base Camp. Ghorepani used to be a resting point for the horses that transported goods for trade, but now the transportation facility has developed.

Views Of The Mountains During Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek:

3 Days Poon Hill trek offers various mountain views from the route during the trail. The trail is full of mesmerizing vistas of more than a dozen mountains. Among them, Dhaulagiri (8167m), Dhampus peak (5244m), Nilgiri south (6839m), Nilgiri center (6840m), Annapurna 1 (8091m), Annapurna South 7219m, Himchuli 6441m, Mardi Himal (5553m), are the peaks of attraction.

Ghandruk village: 

Ghandruk represents the culture and tradition of the Gurung Community,e residing in the area for more than a century. In the past, most men used to have jobs in the military of different countries like Nepal, India, Great Britain, and even the US Army. The women used to take care of their homes, but they have been shifting to family business into the tourism industry. Local people's participation in Ghandruk to save and promote the Gurung Culture has promoted village tourism. They exhibit their customs, culture, modesty, and hospitality to tourists during their stay in the homestay.

The Ghandruk village is also called Stone Village and Konda in the regional tongue. The lovely stone staircase and the well-paved road will make the trekkers feel they are walking towards the way to heaven during the walk to Ghandruk.
